The Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians are the latest professional sports teams to offer their employees life and disability coverage from Consumers Life Insurance Company. The Browns began offering 185 local employees access to basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) and long-term disability insurance on October 1, 2010. The Indians will offer access to basic life and AD&D, supplemental life and AD&D, and long-term disability insurance to more than 400 employees beginning January 1, 2011. The Browns and Indians join the Columbus Blue Jackets, Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals as other professional sports teams with life and disability coverage through Consumers Life.
